Pex Repipe Specialists

What is PEX?
PEX, also known as crosslinked polyethylene is an advanced piping system with several advantages over standard metal pipe made from iron, lead or rigid plastic pipe systems with CPVC, ABS or PVC. PEX is a material that is quicker to install than metal pipe and has fewer fittings and connections. PEX is flexible, resists scale and chlorine and it will not develop pinhole leaks or corrode.

What is PEX?Flexible PEX tube is manufactured by extrusion process and is shipped on spools with no delays in material getting to your home. This is a very big consumer advantage in the labor costs needed for each job, as older rigid plastic or heavy metal piping must be cut to a managable size to receive practical shipment and storing. The low profile of PEX has several advantages, including lower shipping and handling costs due to less weight and size and better storage options.

Most often PEX repipe installations don’t need as many fittings as rigig piping commonly require. The advanced flexibility of PEX tubing allows it to turn 90 degree corners without a need for fixed elbow fittings. PEX tubing is unrolled from a large spool and installation can be done in a much longer length without need for multiple coupler fittings.

Connecting fittings to PEX pipe will not require soldering or torch usage, removing many health and safety hazards involving lead-based solder and acid fluxes used to create a seal for the connections and fittings.

Tubing used in PEX repiping is much more resistant to freeze-breakage than copper or rigid plastic pipe.

PEX pipe tubing will not lose heat as easily as metal-based, using less energy and lowering your utility bills.

Water flows smoother through PEX tube. The common and often jolting water hammer sounds of metal based pipes is eliminated.

PEX repipe installations are more cost effective. Because PEX is less expensive than metal pipe, less time is required on running pipe and installing pipe fittings than typical rigid plastic or metal piping. By using PEX, less fittings as required, which means less chances that you will need future service calls down the road.
